Bachelor of Business (International Hotel & Resort Management)

The Bachelor of Business (International Hotel & Resort Management) degree is a comprehensive, industry relevant program that offers a full three year academic program of:
- university level study in business, finance, marketing, organisation and operations
- professional development including research skills and practices, management and leadership, business ethics, cross cultural issues, career planning
- daily skills training in all hotel departments in our simulated operational hotel
- a career development program of Industry Placements in Australia (paid) and abroad (mostly unpaid)
Swiss Hospitality Association Diploma
Students who complete the two and a half year degree at Blue Mountains will also graduate with the coveted Swiss Hotel Association (SHA) Diploma. Switzerland is the traditional home of hospitality and world renowned for its superior applied skills training. The SHA Diploma is internationally recognised and respected by the industry.

Industry Placement
Industry Placement forms a key part of your studies comprising of a minimum of 600 hours in both years one and two. These semesters are spent in leading hotel and tourism organisations around the world and give students the opportunity to put into practice the skills learnt at the school in the previous semester. They also enable students to establish their own industry network.
Field Trips
As part of your studies you will participate in a number of industry related field trips, such as wine tasting trips to the well known wine growing regions of the Hunter Valley and Orange; and site inspections of hotels, resorts and tourism attractions in Sydney.
