Semesters two and four require you to work in an approved hospitality establishment. This gives you hands-on experience - you can actually put your previous six months studies into practice.
What is the advantage of having two industry placement semesters?
Having two separate industry placements has a number of distinct advantages over one single placement semester.
The separation of these semesters provides you the opportunity of working in two different hotel management companies thus giving you exposure to different company cultures.
Two separate semesters also gives you the opportunity to work in two different styles of hotel such as CBD properties, with a corporate market and Resort properties, with leisure based markets.
Most importantly you will be able to add two separate hotels to your resume thus building your own personal network.
The School will assist you in gaining these fully paid employment positions. We are very proud of the excellent success rate of placing our students, the majority in to major four and five star hotels.
