| ANTONIO HERNANDEZ CANOVAS |

|
Born in Spain, Mr Antonio Hernandez Canovas graduated with a BA in Business Management from the School of Economic Sciences in Murcia and then rose to the position of Assistant General Manager during his six years with Ford Spain.
In 1992 Antonio enrolled at the Blue Mountains Hotel School. "I chose BMHS because of the pride the current students took in the School, the international nature of the student body, the staff and the curriculum, and the blend of theory and practice offered by the five-semester model," says Antonio. During his studies he held several F&B positions at the five-star Fairmont Resort in Leura.
On graduation in 1994, Antonio began a six year career with Accor hotels with a number of managerial positions in Thailand, Indonesia and China. In 2000 he became General Manager of the Novotel Hai Hua in Hangzhou, China, a 250 room four-star deluxe business resort which won best hotel in the region for that year.
In April 2002, Swiss-Belhotel International announced the appointment of Antonio as General Manager of the four-star deluxe Hotel Ciputra Semarang in Indonesia.
"The hands-on approach to learning at BMHS, the multicultural learning and work environment and the study and practice of a wide range of basic service principles and a series of modern management tools provided me with a solid foundation to launch my hospitality career with a leading hotel group, says Antonio
In September 2002, Antonio decided to redirect his career into a new line of business. He joined CB Richard Ellis Asset Management and became a General Manager with the President Park Group of serviced apartments in Thailand. With three executive serviced apartment blocks - the Grand President, Royal President and President Park - in Bangkok, the company is rapidly expanding in Thailand and abroad so Antonio is looking forward to more international career moves in the future.
